Romagnuolo Named Scholar-Athlete of the Week
Freshman Tina Romagnuolo (Stouffville, Ontario), midfielder for Syracuse Orange Women’s soccer, has been named the Syracuse University Scholar-Athlete of the Week for the week of October 12, 2009.
Romagnuolo has started every game for Syracuse this season. She leads the team in goals (6) and points (12). She made her second career-winning goal against Providence for a 2-1 win in overtime, and has been named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll.
Romagnuolo, a dual major in biology and education, will join the SU women's soccer team when it continues its BIG EAST Conference play at Rutgers on Thursday, Oct. 15 at 2 p.m. The Orange travels to Seton Hall on Saturday, Oct. 17 for a 7 p.m. matchup against the Pirates.
