SOE Faculty Leadership and Innovation
National leadership and academic excellence always have been hallmarks of the Syracuse University School of Education faculty. The following professors have been recognized for their outstanding scholarship and leadership achievements: Professor Nick Smith served as President of the American Evaluation Association; Professor Kathleen Hinchman serves as President of the New York Reading Association and a member of the Board of Directors of the National Reading Conference; Professor Phil Doughty was named Syracuse University Teacher of Year (2004); and Professor Robert Bogdan received an honorary doctoral degree from the University of Stockholm (2004).
