Drum Circle with Jim Donovan and the ICI

Join the Institute on Communication and Inclusion for an evening of drumming and musical expression. Regardless of musical experience, cultural background or disability, drum circles help people connect with each other through the universal language of rhythm. We will have over 40 drums available, but feel free to bring your own! While there will be specific attention to strategies for supporting individuals on the autism spectrum, this event is for anyone who wants to make collective music or support others that do.
Cost: $10 per person or $25 per family

Jim Donovan is an inspirational performer and educator who believes in the power of music to bring people together. Founding member of the band Rusted Root and member of the Sun King Warriors, his current focus is leading drum circles for people from a wide variety of backgrounds and teaching others to do the same. He will lead us in an evening of music, drumming and relaxation, helping us channel our collective energies into an expressive form through rhythm. Bring your family and friends for an event that's sure to be fun!
