English Education
English Education is a dual-degree undergraduate program offered jointly by the College of Arts and Sciences and the School of Education. Students earn one Bachelor of Arts diploma granted by both colleges after completing majors in both English and Textual Studies and English Education. The undergraduate program in English Education leads to initial certification in New York State to teach English in grades 7-12.
A significant strength of our programs is our exceptionally strong and cooperative relationship with area public schools that allow our candidates to gain valuable field experiences in a variety of educational settings.
