Reflections of SU

I am originally from Clay, New York, but lived in Louisville, Kentucky, for 15 years where I taught high school English at a K-12, urban school. I returned to Central New York in 2007 to earn a Ph.D in English Education. I value my Syracuse University experience because of the professional relationships I built with schools and local community groups. The School of Education advocates for all youth and has a stellar faculty. The scholars I studied with in the Reading and Language Arts Center were cutting edge leaders in the field. They mentored my doctoral work in literacy with professionalism, encouragement, and support.

Since Graduation

Since graduating, I have become an assistant professor in the Graduate School of Education and Allied Professions at Fairfield University  and direct the Connecticut Writing Project at Fairfield, an affiliate of the National Writing Project.
