Admissions Information
Application deadlines:
MS applications for admission are reviewed three times per year and must be submitted by the following dates: January 15, June 1, and October 1.
Applicants for the Master's degree programs should have:

A baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited college/university

At least a 3.0 undergraduate grade point average
-
Graduate Record Examination (GRE) or Miller Analogies Test (MAT)

Some relevant work experience
Admission procedures include the following application materials:

General application for admission to graduate study at Syracuse University

Department supplemental applications for admission: M.S
-
Three letters of recommendation from persons who can speak to the applicant's academic potential and to their personal qualifications for graduate study in counseling

Transcripts of all undergraduate and graduate study
-
A personal statement which defines the applicant's motivation to seek graduate study and future career ambitions

Graduate Record Examination (GRE) scores

A personal interview with the faculty of Counseling and Human Services. Arrangements for the personal interview will be made after receipt of all application materials. Master's interviews are often group interviews. Phone interviews can be arranged if face to face interviews are not possible
** International Students:

Audiotaped conversation (in English) with another person regarding your reasons for wanting to study at Syracuse

TOEFL Scores: written test 600, computerized test 250, iBT test 100 and IELTS 7.0
